The Phoenix metro residential market has been a "national hot-spot" and continues to be very active for the first-time buyer as well as the seasoned real estate investor.  As a second generation Scottsdale native, I have witnessed many things first hand concerning real estate values.  

The market is normalizing from a year ago when record appreciation levels were set. As a retired architect and an investor in both residential properties and undeveloped properties, I understand only too well what the local development issues are.  I can envision where the next hot-zones will occur based upon past performance, amenities and the number of people relocating to the "Valley of the Sun".
